Bio

Fresno based rock band "Blaze" was formed in Jan 09 by teen guitarist Blaze. Every member of the band has been influenced by the music of the 70's and 80's, so it was a natural fit for 5 veteran rockers to join forces with the kid in his quest to dawn a new era of the Rock God.

One fan put it like this:
"These guys are the real deal! They don't copy the thousands of styrofoam, clone bands out there right now. They are different and they relish it. Blaze is straight up Rock and Roll and it's about time for a band like this. The music is fresh, the band is excellent, and once you watch this kid play the guitar, you'll know for sure that you have seen something special."

Blaze is 17 years old and has been playing guitar since he was 6. Since he could talk, he has wanted to be a “Rock Star”. His musical influences include KISS, AC/DC, VanHalen, Hendrix, Satriani and Vai, to name a few. He has also had the unique opportunity to hang with some of the world's best blues artists such as 2007 Grammy nominee Duke Robillard, Walter Trout, Anson Funderburgh and the Rockets, Sam Myers, Chris Duarte, Papa Mali, Michael Burks, and Deborah Coleman. At age 11 he performed with blues artist Anthony Gomes. He has attended Camp Jam in Atlanta, and the Hollywood School of Rock. In July 06, he made an appearance on the USA Network (Ready for the Weekend) with Dan Sachoff and performed solo on the main stage at Universal Citywalk for T-JAMZ. Blaze was selected to tour with the West Coast School of Rock All Stars in 2007. In the same year, Blaze was filmed in a rock star prodigy TV pilot with Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains) Richie Kotzen (Mr. Big and Poison) and Pearl Aday (Meat Loaf and MotleyCrue).

Blaze also played shows in a duet with Shelby Cobra (Lead vocalist for Disney band KSM)

In 2008, Blaze had the opportunity to jam on stage with Gilby Clarke (Guns N' Roses).

Blaze was also nominated for the 2008 Hollywood Music Awards for his song, "Rock Gods."

Blaze was the guitarist in a music video with singer Cassi Thomson and Taylor Lautner of Twilight movie fame.

In 2010, Blaze was a featured performer at every Thursday home game for the Fresno Grizzlies baseball team.

Recently, Blaze was nominated for a 2010 Hollywood Music in Media Award for his song "Heroes" in the Rock category.

Feb 2011 Blaze is featured in Fresno Magazine.
