The Blazin' Flattlanders are a blazin' hot progressive bluegrass group based out of Oklahoma. They play everything from hard driving tradional numbers to spacegrass to jazzgrass with clean, intricate, and precise instrumentation. The Blazin' Flattlanders were first brought together December 12, 2015 at a family benefit for guitarist Conch Hampton's dear friend Joe Laforest, who had just passed away at the age of 21. Conch called up ex-Driven & Blue Pearl fiddler Jimmy Vincent, Springstreet & Gypsy Twang basist Steve Huhn, Oklahoma Legend harmonica master John Williams, and mandolinist Justin Beckwith. Without a single practice, the group performed, and had an extraordinary response, and a feeling of pure musical chemistry. All agreed, a legitimate band with this lineup was a must. February 2016, The Blazin' Flattlanders were born.
