Blazing Country is made up of 6 very talented individual artist/entertainers who bring their individuality into one unified group of professional musicians.
Each artist has their own style:
Don is Classic & Southern Rock and Outlaw Country
His influences are Brownsville Station, Ozark
Mountain Daredevils, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Deep
Purple, ZZ Top, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, &
Waylon Jennings.
Dustin is Hank Jr. country & southern rock.
His songwriting influences are: Anthony Smith
Allen Jackson, & Garth Brooks.
His percussion influences are Led Zepplin, Pink
Floyd, Metalica, Creed, & ZZ TOP
Dallas is rodeo country & southern rock
His influences are: Alabama, George Strait,
Garth Brooks, Charlie Daniels, & Lynyrd Skynyrd
Denver is rock , alternative, and folk
His songwriting influences are: Bob Dylan, Cold
Play, Tom Petty, The Beatles, & Johnny Cash.
His guitar style is all Denver.
Dana is Rhythm and Blues. Her influences are Dolly
Parton, Janice Joplin, & Billy Holiday.
Vicki is blues, country, gospel, folk rock, and power
ballads. Her influences are; Aretha Franklin,
Billy Holiday, Carol King, Patsy Cline, Linda
Rondstadt, and Peter, Paul, and Mary.
All the musicians in this band are
singer/songwriters and they bring all the various styles and experiences of their lives into the music they create. The band's most recent release, "I Know You Feel It" features 8 songs by Dustin, which are sung by Dallas and Dana. Three of the songs have been released as singles; I Wont Cry, Doin Time, and That Left One.
Blazing Country is currently preparing to release their next recording, which promises to be their best yet.
Denver is currently working on a collection of his own originals, which he hopes to release this fall. Denver's music is a mix of the poetic style of Dylan, Cash, Lennon, and Petty, mixed with the powerful instrumental styles of alternative rock, folk, and the rock of the 1960's. Denver has a unique way with words and rhyme.
Blazing Country has one goal in mind every time they step on stage and that is to bring to the party the very best music and performance. They choose their set list very carefully for each venue, from a list of over 500 cover songs, which they mix in with their own originals.
