B-L-E-N-D

Urban and Jorg met for the first time after a party at the "Coconut Teazer" in Hollywood.
After realizing that they spoke the same musical language, they decided to meet again, and again, and again...
They met on a regular basis to play music, inspired by their favorite bands U2 and Radiohead.
Then some time passed...
By pure chance, they found Yumi. Yumi came from Japan, played drums, looked great and had the kind of energy that the boys were looking for. B-L-E-N-D was born. An extravagant blend between German virtue, Swedish coolness and Japanese sex appeal.

In 1998 they started recording their first original songs. Shortly after that B-L-E-N-D signed a deal with Warner Brothers.
Mission accomplished, or so it seemed... But in the following years B-L-E-N-D had to face the same fate that many other bands have shared; getting signed to a major deal and being dropped right after that. But instead of breaking apart like many other bands, B-L-E-N-D continued to do what they do. Doing numerous odd gigs and projects just to pay the rent, Yumi, Urban and Jorg kept working and growing and inspiring each other.

In 2005 their tenacity was rewarded. After signing with the German label noteworks, their first album will be released in the fall of 2005. However, before that you will be able to see and hear for yourself. Witness this great live band in action with their rockin' Pop songs and Urban’s unmistakable voice.
