In a world where hip hop has become mainstream and the playas are more into making money than representing the true, Blessa has arrived to take back hip hop from those who choose to exploit her instead of giving her the proper respect.

In the tough urban setting of South Philadelphia, one of most notorious sections of the City of Brotherly Love, Blessa discovered his skills as a talented MC. Blessa is known for his quick wit and strong style of delivery “My Style of rhymin’ has a 93-95 dirty underground feel with a mature outlook on Hip hop as a whole, this style is also known as ‘Smash Mouth Rhymin’. His lyrics speak of the struggles in the life of every young black male who must find a way to survive in his own hood .

Some of Blessa’s early influences were The Fatboys, Run DMC, and his cousins who had a group called the “J. D. T. R.”(Just Down To Rap). It was then that Blessa knew that Hip Hop would be his Lady.

Blessa has had the opportunity to perform at many open mics throughout Philly, where he has earned much props from his peers. Blessa has also performed with Black Thought of the ROOTS, Jeru tha Damaga and Cee Knowledge of The Digable Planets fame. Soon everyone will know Blessa, the “Man on Fire.” He will be releasing his debut CD also titled "Man on Fire" in the summer of 2007 on the indie imprint MasterJam Records a Phreman Entertainment Group label.
