Blessed

Emerging from the depths of the Atlanta comes one of an unconventional, spiritually driven, multi-talented artist named Blessed. With the release of his debut album Time (Spring 2009), this eccentric emcee/artist/producer/writer is poised to gain attention in the Gospel market. Born in Atlanta, Blessed grew up in a poverty-stricken neighbor hood that gave him a strong work ethic and a certified testimony. Always seeking to share his testimony, he focused on his passion, music. After years of musical studies, he found his calling in producing records and writing songs. In October 2007 he was the first artist to be featured twice on the Holy Hip-Hop Compilation: Taking the Gospel to the Streets V.5, and was voted by thousands to be featured on V.6, which was released in October 2008. In 2010 Blessed 1 was honored with a Holy Hip Hop award for his, talent, devotion, hard work in the hip hop community. With a history of performing, Blessed has recently shared the stage with Gospel stars such as Kurt Carr, Canton Jones, and a full host of others. Without over preaching, the content of his music exemplifies conscience thoughts and unique ways of delivering the gospel, while keeping the listener entertained and intrigued. With the God given talent and a testimony destined to touch the lives of millions, Blessed aims to continue to grow in Christ and share his gifts with the world. He is currently unsigned, yet aspires to do whatever it takes to ensure that the quality of music in today's mainstream is filled with God's love, and is a positive encouragement for all people.
