Ebony was a runner-up finalist for the 2006 National Exalting Him music competition sponsored by recording artist Nicole C. Mullen. In front of hundreds of music fans, Miss Jefferson successfully reached Round 3 at the nationally acclaimed Club 3 Degrees Nightclub’s Battle of the Bands 2006. Entertaining millions of visitors each year, in 2006 the Minnesota State Fair was graced with Ebony’s phenomenal talent at the Crossroads Chapel stage. Having been invited by Silent No More Minnesota, she was featured at the Minnesota State Capital Building in St. Paul in 2007. She has performed at various festivals, colleges, organizations, and churches such as the Taste of Heaven Music Festival in Burnsville, MN, Augsburg College, the University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin-Stout, Northwestern College, North Central University, National IMPACT Movement 2005 and 2006 in Washington, D.C. and Chicago, IL, Sanctuary Covenant Church, Emmanuel Tabernacle COGIC, Shiloh Temple, and Living Word, to name a few. She has been interviewed on television with MTN Studios and held a feature article in “I AM MAGAZINE,” with JerrVals Records. Her events where she had performed at have been advertised on KMOJ Radio, Christian Connection Highest Power newsletter, and Blessed PURPOSE PR & Music Mgmt. Ebony has sung and shared stages with recording artists such as national music legend Bryan Duncan, the Minneapolis Gospel Sound, Billy Steele, Sara Renner, Ava and Noelle Johnson, Ryan Daniels Spirit of David, Remnant, Janelle, Lightswitch Band, Tonia Hughes, Just Live, comedians Joey ILO and A Alexander, and a host of others.
A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she is a recent college graduate of the University of Minnesota. Committed to growing in her faith, she regularly attends the Sanctuary Covenant Church under the leadership of Pastor Efrem Smith. Ebony confidently reflects the freedom she now has in her personal relationship with Christ while delivering a message of courage, joy, and passion in the Lord. The time to know Christ and experience His love is now, and this truth has never been put more vividly as in the words of her demo CD entitled “Oh Lord,” which states, “there comes a time in our lives, to live to die or stand and fight!”

"BLESSED PURPOSE MUSIC" (612) 251-8156. Born in Nigeria and raised in the U.S. since the age of three, Miss Bibi is in constant pursuit of creative and effective ways to educate, encourage, and mobilize people of all walks of life. She has accomplished this through her prior positions as music manager, promoter, and event coordinator, and her involvement with Minneapolis Gospel Sound, Ebony Jeffersons With Kingdom Rhythms, and F.A.I.T.H., among other professional artists. Above all her experience, her true passion remains as a lyricist who promises custom songwriting for your own performance, production, band, or tracks! As a graduate of the University of Minnesota, she holds a Communication degree with two minors in Spanish and Business Management. Of her many abilities, she is also skilled in songwriting, which is her current and primary focus. Her other experiences have been music management, booking, and public relations. Having lived in Merida, Venezuela, she is able to speak, read, and songwrite fluently Spanish. As the sole owner of BLESSED PURPOSE MUSIC which began its operations in 2005, Miss Bibi is also a proud board member of Minneapolis Gospel Sound and until recently was the sole booking agent, promoter, and music manager for the gospel groups F.A.I.T.H. and Ebony Jefferson. Having a positive and growing relationship with her former bands and current associates, she continues to work with various artists such as those listed above. She has worked in music throughout the Twin Cities, promoting events and Christian artists and managing their artistries in various musical styles such as Hip Hop, R & B, NeoSoul, and Rock to name a few. Her current and primary area of emphasis is writing song lyrics that educate, empower, and serve the community and the world. As a Christian artist and former music representative, she strongly feels that she must first humble herself to the Divine instruction of God. Therefore, her desire is that her many gifts and talents, extensive contact base, community networking, and her role in recent years in mobilizing, booking, and promoting phenomenal local and national affiliates will give her songwriting opportunities and avenues in which she can lift up the name of Jesus in the community and in the global music industry. Besides, as she frequently states, her gifts and talents are all a part of His music project and not her own. He is the master songwriter, her heart is His beat, and her life is His notepad. Therefore, no matter what part of the world her songs reach, Miss Bibi is committed to the realization that in the lives of others, positive changes can occur, individual needs can be met, and people can be encouraged through our individual and collective efforts to educate, unify, empower, and serve the diverse communities that make up our world.
