Bio

Bless the child is a five piece metal/hard rock band from Stratford/Leamington Spa. They formed back in late 2003 when the members of a previous band, Scott Allen, Martin Toney and Kyle Winter, including two new members, Adam Richards and Tom Scott, joined, all with their love of rock music, to create a rock band. It wasnt long until a handful of songs, and a name Bless the Child, had been created. After the bands first few gigs, mainly in Stratford, the group started to gather a following of friends who supported the band at every gig. But as the band progressed, something seemed wrong, and after a year and a half of being in the band, Kyle Winter, the former bass guitarist, left to follow his own path in music. Now the band was left with four members, Martin Toney, drummer, Adam Richards, Guitars, Scott Allen, Guitars and Tom Scott, Vocals. After a long search for the right musician to fit the job, Jamie Rye from Bishops Tachbrook, Leamington Spa, came along for a trial session. Luckily, Jamie fit the position perfectly and proved to be a fantastic bass player with an amazing stage presence. Soon, after Jamie had joined the band, Bless the Child hit the studio for their first recording, a four-track E.P. The Hollow. With a lot of success and recognition with their E.P., a sound that has evolved to the heavy, crunching metal/hard rock they play today, a series of victorys with local battle of the bands, including getting to the regional finals with the Chicago Rock battle of the bands, a top 10 entry with purevolume.com,playing Napton Festival with girlschool to a crowd of over 2000, Making it to the regional finals of UK unsigned festival at the Barfly, Being offered a headlining slot at this years Napton Festival, an ever growing fan-base and a new full-length E.P, Bless the Child, as a metal band and as musicians just keep on getting stronger.
