ROCK THE HOUSE, FIND A CURE 2010 -
BlindFold Charlie is helping find a cure for Parkinson's disease. In 2005, Joe McKinnon's mom was diagnosed with the incurable disease. Joe is the lead guitar for BlindFold Charlie and he along with the other band members, Aaron Cammack (Vocals/Synth), Brady Reese (Bass), Joey Cambron(Drums) and Hayden Homen(Rhythm Guitar) wanted to be a part of the community that helps in fighting this disease. Joe said, "Even though we are young, our generation will be the one that will find a cure, I'm sure of it. I've watch my mom day after day struggle with this disease and it's time for us (BlindFold Charlie) to give back to our community." All the proceeds from the concert tickets and all funds raised from merchandise will be donated to The Michael J. Fox Foundation that funds research for Parkinson's disease.
Rock The House, Find A Cure will be February 6th at the Lubbock Cooper Performing Arts Center at Lubbock Cooper High School. Doors will open at 7:00 with the concert starting at 7:30. Performing in the fundraiser will be The Newest Flavor, You Said It, The Warehouse Pilots, Alternative Fuels and BlindFold Charlie.
