Biography

Blinding Edge - Bio

Roots that dig deep into the NY/NJ underground form the foundation of Blinding Edge. Their style stems from a fusion of diverse musical backgrounds generating a unique state of consciousness thru sound. The driving rhythms and heavy beats of Tim Lynch set the mood for the simplistic, yet aggressive undertones of bassist Bob Morris. Their syncopated sound is enhanced by the powerful voice and lyrical message of singer/guitarist Marc Hansen. His mathematically inspired rhythm guitar and selectively placed guitar solos form the perfect emotional foundation for the pleasantly haunting melodies of guitarist Rob Murray. Rob’s distinct and unearthly pallet of guitar sounds is the catalyst that binds chaos with rhythmic precision completing the chemistry of Blinding Edge. The music of Blinding Edge offers sounds reminiscent of Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Tool. A love for live performance and song writing fueled their creative diet, which surfaced in their first studio recording. Fulcrum, the bands self-produced debut album creates an emotional mindset derived from the darkest depths of modern rock. For those of you who fear that rock is dead, rest assured Blinding Edge exists, and Rock will not go gentle into that good night.

Lyrics

Come Home

Written By: Marc Hansen

Come Home

Remember where you come from
Promise not to stray from your roots

Follow your heart every beat
As it leads you
Follow your heart every beat
And journey onward

Go where the road leads you
Find your way
Godspeed my friend
Come home soon

I cannot wait till when
You’re coming back again
To show me all the ways you’ve grown
How it’s effecting me is overpowering
My ties to you feel carved in stone

Follow your heart every beat
As it leads you
Follow your heart every beat
And journey onward

Go where the road leads you
Find your way
Godspeed my friend
Come home soon

I cannot wait till when
I see your face again and
I won’t be here on my own
How it’s effecting me is overpowering
My ties to you feel carved in stone

If you feel as if our fading petroglyphs are
Eroding too fast in this storm,
Know that I’m thinking of you
And I’ll be counting the days till
Finally you’re coming home

Regress

regress
(Track 3 on “Fulcrum” CD)
Words by Marc Hansen
Music by Blinding Edge

Looking back I couldn’t fool myself
Mind stumbles away to find me a place to hide within my hell
My dream’s alive I cannot feel you now
These images won’t go away
No hiding from yourself

Chorus:
What’s inside is more than you will know
Mind stumbles away to find me a place to hide within my hell
Pain is back I’ll try just one more pill
I’m lying awake my mind to this day is crying for some help

Looking back I couldn’t fool myself
I tremble away to my hiding place I’m dying in my hell
My dream’s alive I cannot feel you now
These images won’t go away
No hiding from yourself

[chorus]

regress…

Wherever, whenever, I see you again
I hope that you’ll be here and leaving my life
And my head
Not about to throw it away
Keep on living the life that you gave me
Regress…

[chorus]

regress…

Bump

Written By: Marc Hansen

bump
(Track 9 on “Fulcrum” CD)
Words by Marc Hansen
Music by Blinding Edge

Anesthesiology
I ain’t changing my mind
Close the eyes, then a wave of mystery
Feel no more
A surprise end

And you finally stop breathing
Then a view without meaning
Feeling that it was only unsaid to never opened eyes
And you finally stop breathing
Branded dream without meaning
Feeling that it was only unsaid to never opened eyes

Anesthesiology branded back in my mind
Close the eyes to awake a side of me
Feel no more
A surprise end

And you finally stop breathing
Then a view without meaning
Feeling that it was only unsaid to never opened eyes
And you finally stop breathing
Branded dream without meaning
Feeling that it was only unsaid to never opened eyes

Twisted times my mind has gone astray on me
Remember the time synapses couldn’t see my soul bent like this conscious curvature
Remember the times my life has come to hurt.

Anesthesiology, I ain’t changing my mind.
