Bass Player Rich Stillwell is the one who had the idea to put this band together after he was in separate bands with the other three members of BMD.
Rich and Mike were in a cover band called Crankcase, Rich and Geoff were in an original band called Glenwood and Rich and Tom were in an original band called National Steel. All three of which ended up splitting up. Having heard from Tom, Mike and Geoff that they wanted to get something going again, Rich decided to see what would it sound like if he combined them all.
And so Blind Man Drive was born in July of 2008. All four members have similar but different influences but they all seem to meld well with one another.
Still a band in it's infancy, the sound of BMD is starting to become more refined and develop into something all their own.
