Biography

A rock and roll group out of Baltimore, MD, Blind Man Leading's unique sound is more than the sum of its parts.

BML was reinvented with their Bostonia EP in late 2012. From late summer through October, the three piece recorded their first electric studio project at Mobtown Studios, tracking together for the first time. Engineer/producer/drummer Paul Mercer recorded and mixed the 5 tracks, with mastering by Mat Leffler-Schulman. Reviewed by Colin McGuire of The Frederick News Post, the EP was described as such: "...tasteful is probably the key word in this entire equation, if only for how clear it becomes that Blind Man Leading know exactly how to present it on a record." Following up with the Swords EP in late August of 2013 (also out of Mobtown), their newest studio project has been well-received and described as a project which "...keeps blossoming to the very end with color even as the instrumentation becomes more intimate at the end...totally positive vibes." -Keith Adams, Director, Baltimore School of Rock.

The band is releasing their third installment in this series of 5-song EPs, calling it Kerosene.

Lyrics

Cellar Door

Written By: Blind Man Leading

I confess, my true aim was sparking a flame.
But nothing's meant to be, just a synthetic mood between us.

Convinced by a kiss it's love, fooled by a thrill in my lips.

Lights came on. You were there. Despite it all, I didn't care.

Running up stairs at dawn. Repeating prayers on the lawn.
It all lost its shine, a cellar door hiding bitter wine.

Strangers like to observe pain that doesn't affect them,
from bodies on a highway to lovers who part ways.

I confess my true aim
as sparking a flame.
But nothings meant to be, just
a synthetic mood between us.

Convinced by a kiss its love
fooled by a thrill in my lips.

Lights came on
You were there.
Despite it all
I didn't care.

Running up stairs at dawn
Repeating prayers on the lawn.
It all lost its shine
a cellar door hiding bitter wine.

Strangers like to observe
pain that doesn't affect them.
From bodies on a highway

Sword in a Stone

Written By: Blind Man Leading

Wild Spring was a temptress
and dug savage marks where she kissed.

Your innocence wilts,
And your arms, your arms
welcome winter.

The rumblings of your unrest
have set your teeth on edge.
You could not persuade love
from between your shoulder blades again.

When I learn a lesson, I learn it well.

A mystery locked in your bones,
like a sword in a stone.
Guarded by your silence
and your soul, your soul
feels so weighted.

You have choices.
