NYC's Blindswitch debuts in fine fashion with Shadows on The Wall, putting the power into "power pop" not unlike contemporary faves such as Waltham, Rooney and Weezer, with a touch of Fountains of Wayne and Jet thrown in as well. Led by singer/songwriter/frontman David Litvinsky, Blindswitch manages to mix things up to good effect. "Little Girl" is the obvious standout - it can probably be best described as Fountains of Weezer. "I Know" is melodic rock at its best; "Kick Me" ventures out of the powerpop genre into straight-ahead hard rock, while "Til Tomorrow" and "World of Dreams" are power ballads that any 80s hair band would kill for. These guys have uploaded a new slow rockish tune at their myspace - 'The Answer'. "Influenced by a little bit of Oasis," says David (above). Also, check out 'Crazy Over You', which is available for download. Hah, it's such a cute upbeat song. 'Little Girl' and 'Kick Me' are some infectious pop rock melodies.

Listen for Blindswitch's Songs on various MTV shows! - MTV

With their first release, Blindswitch hits a home run. Singer David Litvinsky’s selections are filled with unique and catchy chord progressions that will spin inside your head well after the music stops. Blindswitch may be just what you need to fill that catchy Pop Rock hole in your life.

Blindswitch has traveled across the country and played in over 15 cities in the Northwest, rapidly gaining popularity with each venue. Litvinsky, 27, has been the guiding influence behind Blindswitch and it’s music. His musical inspirations range from “The Beatles” to “The Cure” even Neil Young, all of which are noticeably present in his musical creations. Blindswitch’s sound has been compared to bands such as “Soundgarden,” “The Used,” and “Weezer.”

Formed in 2005, David began writing “Shadows On The Wall” in September and was finished a short 3 months later – an impressive feat by anyone’s standards. “It all went by so fast, the songs just started coming.” The humble front man says. “I would wake up in the morning and run over to my recorder and hum or sing a melody into it. From there it just grew into a song.” The next step for David was to see what the masses thought. “I wanted to see if people liked the tunes, so I put my first 2 songs up on myspace.” Tracks such as “Little Girl” were instant hits. “I was blown away at the reaction the songs got. I never expected it. This reaction gave me the confidence to continue writing.” Their first album was released in first week of April 2006.

The CD, “Shadows On The Wall” is an album of tracks about love gone right, love gone wrong and everything in between. The band’s unique sound, combined with his ultra catchy melodies, will have you playing air guitar, singing along and replaying the album over and over and over again. So check it out. Recommended!

I'm extremely impressed. This is my favorite work of yours. It's one thing to write/sing about love gained or lost. Although somewhat similar, this is of course a different animal, an emotion that many of us unfortunately seem to put to sleep for it's something we do not see or comprehend, or desire to, here at home. Therefore, it's no easy task to touch people on the topic via music unless it's coming from the decided mainstream, if you will. You accomplish this nonetheless. I think Neil Young would truly appreciate this work. It's where I feel music is making it's return toward. There's such a thin line between one who understands a message and one that is sincere about it. Although both have it's place in music and song, it's ultimately sincerity that makes for good music. Well done. - Anonymous Lawrence Erlichman, Co-Founder, MusicGorilla.com

Blindswitch - New York City Metro Area's most promising up and coming "power pop" rock band - is here!

Rising from the clubs of NYC, Blindswitch broke into the pop scene in 2006 with their debut album, Shadows on the Wall. David Litvinsky, Blindswitch's songwriter and founder, blends pop, punk and 60's brit-rock influence into a new and eclectic sound and style.

Comprising the band is a mix of musicians hailing from both the East and West coasts. Together, they blend melodic guitar riffs, groove ridden bass lines, dance till you cant stop drum beats and captivating lyricism to produce music that is bursting with hooks you won't easily forget.

The Blindswitch sound gives more than a nod to their varied musical interests like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Weezer and Neil Young. Combining years of musical experience, Blindswitch has recently played Pleasantville's 2008 Music Festival - sharing the stage with musical genius' Joan Osborne and Graham Parker. Blindswitch has also honed their craft at CBGB's, Club Midway, and The Mean Fiddler in NYC. Apart from live venues, their music has also been showcased on the daytime television show "The Young and the Restless" as well as on the upcoming Vin Diesel video game "Wheel Man" and various MTV programs.

Blindswitch is currently working on their next album (due out in the Fall) as well as gearing up for a long awaited series of shows around the northeast.
