Bio

Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their extraordinary debut album 'Love Prayer' featuring Rachel Morrison's passionate voice, Bliss are back.  With a dynamic and diverse new album "My World Your World " and live shows, including a series of support slots with Paul Carrack , Bliss are set to make a welcome return.

Rachel Morrison and Paul Ralphes formed UK band Bliss in Coventry in 1986. They were known for their roots’ influences and Rachel’s evocative voice, which had the rare quality of truly touching the heart and soul. Signed by Parlophone /EMI in 1987, their first single 'I Hear You Call', charted at No.1 in Brazil, top ten in Italy, as well as making the top twenty in various countries around the globe.  During their time at EMI Bliss released two albums, 'Love Prayer' and 'A Change In ‘The Weather' which won both critical acclaim and commercial success.

Bliss toured extensively, playing major venues and radio stations, appearing on main TV channels and at festivals throughout Europe. Earning the respect of many musical contemporaries, they supported the likes of Paul Simon, Van Morrison, The Neville Brothers and Chris Isaak. After five years, Bliss made the untimely decision to go their separate ways and focus on personal commitments.

In 1992 Rachel started a family with Tom E Morrison and established a solo career in Germany.  During this time a studio album was released on BMG, entitled 'Liberty' and two independent live acoustic albums, 'Live At Phoenix' and 'Rachel Morrison Live' and were backed by extensive touring throughout Europe.

In 1998 Tom started working with the renowned artists Underworld. Inspired by this, Rachel and Tom reinvented their sound and launched their electronic project 'Meeker'. Signing to Darren Emerson's Underwater label, 'Meeker' toured the major UK Dance Clubs, such as Ministry of Sound, Fabric, Cream and festivals. They released three chart topping singles and had extensive radio play and were commissioned to International dance compilations.  'Meeker' tracks feature in Jackie Chan's Hollywood blockbuster film 'The Tuxedo' and the 2007 UK cult film 'London to Brighton’.

As an established writing and production team they contribute music to award winning TV, Film, and documentaries and projects for an eclectic range of artists and labels in the UK.
In 2007 Rachel, Tom and Paul made the decision to revisit their roots, reform Bliss and re-release a collection of original and new material on the 'Best Of Bliss' albums entitled ‘Spirit of Man’ in Germany  and ‘Mercy’ in Italy. EMI re-released the entire Bliss back catalogue including six videos on various digital platforms including iTunes. 2009 sees the release of a new exceptional album ‘My World Your World’.
