Bio

Tribute bands are a dime a dozen, but every so often one will come along that truly pays homage to their artist in such a way that completely leaves you believing you were watching the real thing. Blizzard of Ozzy is that tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.

Blizzard of Ozzy is the nation’s premier Ozzy Osbourne tribute band. They capture both the sights and sounds of a live Ozzy Osbourne show. Delivering a note for note set list that spans the entire Ozzy Osbourne solo catalog (including some Ozzy-era Black Sabbath), Blizzard of Ozzy is sure to please both the casual and most die-hard of fans, drawing crowds of all ages.

Blizzard of Ozzy was developed by five true Ozzy Osbourne fans with one simple goal in mind…to be the biggest and best Ozzy tribute band in the world. To deliver on this goal, no detail has been over-looked …from the blistering Marshall amps and replica gear to the extensive light show, stage set and wardrobe, Blizzard of Ozzy captures it all.

Blizzard of Ozzy members and supporting crew are true professionals with years of touring and recording experience. Their high energy show consistently delivers the crowd pleasing entertainment you would expect from a world class tribute act. Talented & professional musicians recreating with stunning accuracy the live Ozzy Osbourne experience is what you can expect from a Blizzard of Ozzy show.

Fronted by Mack Mullins; reared since youth by watching and emulating over-the-top front men like David Lee Roth & Paul Stanley, studied music throughout school while taking vocal lessons from opera standout Hope Montoni. Mullins honed his skill fronting several “hair bands” in the late 80s and touring in support of fellow Virginians, Firehouse. While in college, Mullins worked extensively as a studio musician, lending his voice and original songs to many independent label artists’ recordings. His frighteningly accurate portrayal of Ozzy Osbourne extends beyond the aural; he has spent countless hours studying Ozzy’s movements, stage banter and visual showmanship.

Scott Farmer, the lead guitarist of Blizzard of Ozzy has studied the guitar styles of Ozzy Osborne's guitarists Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee & Zakk Wylde for years and the proof is in his note-for-note, tone accurate delivery on each Ozzy tune. Scott’s formula is simple: Play the parts true to form, deliver with all the energy, charisma, and flair of the original artists. This music veteran has shared the stage with numerous regional and nationally touring artists in his 20+ years “on the scene”. Scott will amaze even the most hardened & skeptical of Ozzy fan.

Matthew Boos, a native of the motor city, has been playing keyboard and rhythm guitar professionally and semi-professionally since 1986. A pianist and keyboardist for over 30 years, Matthew is accomplished in several keyboard musical styles from Jazz to Synthpop and his influences range from Rush to The Who to Tool. Matt’s musical versatility, attention to detail and perfect pitch provide the solidifying “missing ingredient” that many tribute acts lack. Matt’s credentials include several major label releases and national touring experience opening for Kings X on the Van’s Warped tour.

Chris Stone is energy, charisma, showmanship and best-in-class talent all rolled into one. Chris brings a kick in the pants to this roster of seasoned veterans. While he may be the youngest member of the band, he is no rookie. Chris has been playing drums almost as long as he’s been able to walk. Truly ahead of his time, Chris uncompromisingly delivers the thunderous sounds that you would expect from an Ozzy Osbourne drummer, night after night.

Gary Stone is another veteran of the southeastern music scene. Like brother Chris, Gary is a multi-instrumentalist, who is just as comfortable holding a bass or 6-string guitar as he is behind a drum kit.
Gary has worked with some of the top names in the music business either as a band member or running the sound. In additon, Gary has a very successful video production service. Gary's style and charisma make him a crowd favorite wherever the band performs.
