Bio

It's official. Blondestreak's ""Spreading My Wings"" is the official theme song of the 2005 WNBA ESPN TV campaign. Last year it was Liz Phair's ""Extraordinary"". We are proud to be in that kind of company! Check out the first spot all day starting in June on ESPN and ESPN2 or at:
http://espn.creativegroup.tv/WNBA3_17_05/

Update: It will also be used in promos on ABC this summer AND during the games for the whole season!

News Flash! - We are top 10 in five different categories on broadjam.com and number 11 in the top 50 on independentartistscompany.com/kiac/big50.aspx

"Some people have speculated that we hired Victoria because she's so sexy - but that's only the half of it - she's a highly accomplished musician!" - Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth of Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club and producers of Shirley Manson of Garbage.

“The singers have cool voices and good attitude. They are a very marketable band!”
- Kip Winger

Bryant - booker from Acme Underground - NYC rock club:
""You guys rock the house everytime you play here!""

Joe Kelly, college radio DJ for Fairfield University, CT:

"Blondestreak is a standout band which blends outstanding musicianship, stellar vocals and sexy onstage presence. Thanks to Blondestreak for adding such high quality music to my radio shows."

Blondestreak fits nicely on the shelf between Garbage and No Doubt. Lyricist and lead singer - Victoria Woods intimately reveals her real world experiences, one moment singing about God, then in the next moment about her homicidal wishes or her girl-girl attractions. Drummer/producer Ray Palagy sound designs the tracks with quirky, futuristic drum grooves, and a creamy mix of electric and acoustic guitars. Blondestreak delivers serious pop songs while performing alchemy on a heart and spirit level.

The previous CD "Saturn's Child" has charted in CMJ's top 30 and has independently worked its way onto commercial radio playlists. The single, "MaryAnne," combines lush harmonies with a simple yet irresistible guitar hook. The song captures the innocent yearning for an old friend, compounding it with an urban urgency that makes this tune one that college radio has jumped on.
