BandRock

The end of the world is NOT near. The oil is NOT running out and rock is NOT dead. It's time to get hope back - like a song that makes your hair stand up, goosebumps. Bloodroot's going to do that to you ? darkly melodic hard rock with a touch of psychedelia and a live show that packs a punch.

Biography

Rising amongst the skyscrapers, peering their heads over Times Square, it's Bloodroot, NYC's fastest moving hard rock phenomenon. Combining
the awesome trademark of crunchy guitars through Marshall Amps with driving, hard hitting drum beats with a mixture of undeniably infectious vocal melodies and tasty harmonies, Bloodroot has begun to define their own style which while influenced by many is perfectly suited to today's music world - darkly melodic hard rock with a touch
of psychedelia. Drawing on inspiration provided by everybody from the Black Sabbath and the Beatles to Kurt Kobain and Alice In Chains.

Bloodroot is Johnny Young on lead vocal and guitars, Roman on bass and backing vocals, Doug Vannoni on guitars and backing vocals, and Ross Kantor - one of the best drummers out there. The band has been Johnny's creation, which is now a collaboration in 4 parts.

Save Me

Written By: Johnny Young

Broken dreams swept aside
When we met I came alive
You inspired me anew
All these thoughts come shining through

There?s no turning back no need to explain
When I look in your eyes you save me
Captured me with your smile you saved me from myself

Two are stronger than one
More than lovers more than friends
I know we can overcome
When we speak our words are the same

There?s no turning back no need to explain
When I look in your eyes you save me
Captured me with your smile you saved me from myself

I can see you can hear
Now our dreams are coming clear

There?s no turning back no need to explain
When I look in your eyes you save me
Captured me with your smile you saved me from myself

Deep

Written By: Johnny Young

The spark lights the fire
Keep the flame ever burning blue
So many desires
That I never knew

I?m out of control
Losing my soul

Please somebody help me break out if here
I?m going down, down in a hole
Deep somebody find me, I?m lost in here
I?m going down

Headed for disaster
Dangle the thread, there I hang alone
My thoughts betray me
Thinking that I could move the stone

I?m out of control
Losing my soul

Please somebody help me break out if here
I?m going down, down in a hole
Deep somebody find me, I?m lost in here
I?m going down

Crashed on the roadside
Blinded by the headlights

Please somebody help me break out if here
I?m going down, down in a hole
Deep somebody find me, I?m lost in here
I?m going down

Dig

Written By: Johnny Young

I call you on the phone
No reason at all just here at home
Sorry to bother you at work
Wanna hear your voice fool around and flirt
I?m imagining
You on the other end
Wearing something low cut and tight
Then she tells me how sweet I was last night

Come in
Into my garden
Far away from here

I wanted you to know
I just wanted you to know
I?ll never let you go
I want you I need you
I want you I dig you in my life

I wanna do it twice
?Cause it feels so nice
She never complains
She?s all over that kinky game
Now I?m tied down
Burning candles all around
Never know what to expect
I like it like that I like it like that

Come in
Into my garden
Far away from here

I wanted you to know
I just wanted you to know
I?ll never let you go
I want you I need you
I want you I dig you in my life

It?s hard to believe you?re here with me
One kiss and I?m letting go
Letting go

I wanted you to know
I just wanted you to know
I?ll never let you go
I want you I need you
I want you I dig you in my life

Set List

7 songs with an encore comprise an average set. we have enough material to do two 45-minute sets of originals. we don't do covers as a rule for the most part, but occasionally, we run into a cover song that's so damn good, we might throw it into a set. right now, we're doing sets to support out new CD releaes, DEEP. the latest set goes like this: destination unknown(from 1st CD), strength(from 1st CD), save me(from Deep), deep(from Deep), into the black(from Deep), into the dawn(from Deep), my mistakes(from Deep), dig(from Deep)...
