Bloque 53 is a new band based in Barcelona, gathering musicians from Venezuela, Colombia and Catalunia, with a large musical career.Influenced by the 70's salsa dura and latin jazz (Joe Cuba, Grupo Mango, Ruben Blades, Seis del Solar, etc.), Bloque 53 puts fire on the dance floor and offers an original project and sound, marked by the original touch of the vibraphone and a solid rhythm section.

Biography

Their first CD "La Ruta de la Salsa" (Bloque 53, 2010) provides a groove from Latin jazz to Salsa, spiced with chachacha, son montunos, rumba and afro-Venezuelan songs that offer both group soneros. Launched in January 2010 and self-produced "La Ruta de la Salsa" is the first cd of Salsa recorded in Spain with a vibraphone. Here is the new sound of salsa in Barcelona.

Te Hace Mover los Pies (Bloque 53) has been released in January 2011, imediatly welcome with a lot of enthusiasm by the salsa lovers in all Europe.

Bloque 53 already played in festivals like: Festival Etnosur, Festival Toros y Salsa, Festival Pirineos Sur, Festival de Salsa de Benidorm, Festival World Salsa Open Barcelona, etc.
