Blue Rubies MB

Blue Rubies is an indie-folk band based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Formed when two former bandmates got together with another ex-bandmate, the trio sings songs filled with feeling and intense harmonies that will really hit you.  While their lineup often changes and sometimes incorporates drums and percussions, the trio mostly plays a softer set with ukulele, guitar, and standup bass.  They were fortunate enough to play as a part of Winnipeg Folk Festival's Young Performer Program in the summer of 2014.  There, they attended workshops and were mentored by Allison de Groot of Oh My Darling.

While all three members have had plenty of experience on stage, Madison and Cory have previously played Winnipeg Folk Festival, where they were mentored by David Wax Museum.  They have also played many other various venues, festivals, and coffee-shops around Manitoba.

Cory and Ben were also the the bass and rhythm section of a popular Winnipeg band.  They have countless shows under their belts and all the stage experience necessary to make any visit to the stage a memorable one.

As the band is fairly new, they are currently working on releasing an EP, as well as booking more shows and really getting their name out there.  The trio spends hours perfecting and building their repertoire.
