Blue Background began their musical journey on New Years Eve 1997, when they were merely the ages of 13. Even as children, the members goal was to work together to create music.
Recently, Blue Background won the grand prize at the FAME Battle of the Bands at the Grand Wayne Center in Fort Wayne. They attended the South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin, TX, and were witnessed by music business pros who described their sound as seamless. They were selected by Maverick Records to showcase for the Unlisted tour with Michelle Branch and Jude. They are proud to have one studio recorded CD already pressed, and a new demo in the works.
With an extensive history in music, Blue Background want nothing more than to be revolutionary. Their aim is to bring musicianship back to mainstream pop. They want to prove to listeners that girls can hold their own in rock music. In short, their goal is to be a highly respected band.
