Blue Billy Grit is an authentic southern bluegrass band with a lot of talent. Mark Garrison is an excellent writer, singer, and musician who can play most all instruments used in Bluegrass music. I am very excited to be featuring music by Blue Billy Grit in the feature film, "Dixie Times". These folks are "the real deal"! The music of this group is perfect for our film and should lead to a great soundtrack featuring "Blue Billy Grit". December 31, 2009

BlueBilly Grit is a North Georgia based band
with their own unique style and sound. In the one year they have been together as a group they have continually gained momentum and a local following. They put on a high energy show and their love for all genres of music is evident in their selection of songs. You may hear some traditional tunes from artist like Bill Monroe or the Dillards, Johnny Cash, The Beatles, Janis Joplin, and even some Alanis Morissette, all done BlueBilly style of course. Their original songs are written and composed by all members of the band and their first CD, Mill Grinders Blues, was released on November 11th, 2009.
