Biography

Bluedog was originally formed in 2001 to be a cover band. After a couple of years and several lineup changes Eric and Joni decided to begin writing their own material. They enlisted Tom on bass and Jared Jensen on drums for sessions that would eventually result in the "From All Directions" CD. Recorded in Albuquerque with session musicians the CD would be relesed in early 2005. At this time Chuck joined the band on Congas and soon after Jeremy joined as drummer. Eric and Joni's daughter, Alex began rehearsing with the band in the summer of 2005 and was soon performing with the rest of the band. Jimmy was the last of the current members to join also in 2005.

The band has a wide range of musical interests. Coming from different backgrounds is part on the unique style of the band. Ranging in age from 17-55 members bring a wide range of experiences to the table. Some of our influences include: Hendrix, Santana, SRV, Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, Susan Tedeschi, Skynyrd, Redbone and Indidgenous.

The Bluedog sound is a mix of Blues, Rock, R & B, Latin and Southern Rock. The original material Bluedog performs ranges from tradtional blues to driving rock to R & B flavored blues.
