Blue Kabuki is a disheveled Femme Fatale exemplifying the muted, more grown up and responsible tones of Riot Grrl, singing malcontent in melody through tinny distortions. Shoegazers look up to the stage and are blown away by the amount of noise that emanates from the perfect convergence of a 4 piece kit and one distorted guitar, all the while Front Girl, Catherine Green, still finds room for jazzy Sonic Youth licks, while drummer, Dannie Snyder, rolls out intelligent fills esque of Sunny Day Real Estate. Blue Kabuki dominates the half of a stage that they need with such confidence that can only be generated by genuine style and talent. Even the most pretentious of hipsters will stand up and openly masturbate at the sight of Blue Kabuki.
