"Western Medicine soothes Manzanita's cutural ailments"

“In terms of velocity few rappers in the Pacific Northwest can hold a candle to Kwyet. His aneurysm-inducing speed, melded with Existance’s tonic versatility on the mic and riveting stage presence, long ago established Blue Kollar Ballers as an opening act any prospective show attendee would be foolish to miss in favor of a more fashionable entry.”

Bio

Existance and Kwyet One of Western Medicine are the Blue Kollar Ballers. As part of the Oregon Coast based crew Western Medicine, who released their last album in 2007, Existance and Kwyet have over a decade of recording and performing experience under their belts, and have already shared the stage with highly acclaimed artists, such as 2Mex, Life Rexall, Existereo, Labtekwon, Sleep (Oldominion), Smoke (Oldominion), Drunken Immortals, and Mic Crenshaw to name a few. These two extremely skillful and versatile wordsmiths combine lyrical wizardry with nasty northwest hip-hop production bringing something unique and refreshing to the Northwest Underground. In August of 2010 Blue Kollar Ballers released, “Shadowbox,” an album destine to become a classic. “Shadowbox” is the eagerly anticipated follow up to their hard to find, hard hitting “Off the Clock” EP released in 2006, in which the duo sold all existing copies while touring the Northwest with Baltimore based rapper and one of UBR Magazines “Next 100 Artists of the New Millennium,” Labtekwon. Driven by allegiances to craft and consciousness, Blue Kollar Ballers and their crew Western Medicine have operated as dark horses of the Northwest underground hip-hop community for quite sometime, but with the Blue Kollar Ballers’ most recent release “Shadowbox,” they appear to be at the cusp of a regional breakthrough.
