Lyrics

Alaska!

Written By: Peter C. Budd

I look out of the window
The world is painted gray
I hear the rain thats singing its song
That scares the sun away
In the distance a shaft of light
Passes through dense clouds
I see a mountain top appear
Shining bright and proud

In the distance the river looks like a silver thread
Winding through dark fields that seem to be quite dead
Suddenly the rain has stopped, and the birds have started to sing
A rainbow appears from no where as dark clouds start to thin

Chorus
I've been away for many years, and now I'm here to brush away your tears
I'm back in Alaska with you!

The majesty of the mountains appear though clouds of gray
As if the rain has cleansed them, ready for another day
The fileds of tall green grass seem to come alive
A hawk swoops down to conquer a prey, who very well may survive

Chorus
I've been away for many yeas, and now i'm here to brush away your tears
I'm back in Alaska with you!

The clouds move on to slowly, as if not wanting to leave
But the sun is strong today
It lets the mountain breath
A bear moves down to the rivers edges to catch a fish or two
Across the snow capped mountain an eagle flies in view

Chorus

Maybe That's The Reason They Call it The Blues?

Written By: Peter C. Budd

I feel so low that the curb seems high
In my arms I have a bottle of wine
It ain't so bad, I've still got my shoes
Maybe thats the reason thay call it the blues?

The days are warm and the nights are cold
I'm only tewnt eight, but I feel so old
How I ended up here, I haven't a clue
Maybe thats the reason thay call it the blues?

Chorus
She's gone, my baby's gone
My baby left me, She left me all alone!

Someone walked by and thew me a dime
I felt so bad that I felt like cryin'
It aint fair, cause' I've paid my dues
Maybe thats the reason thay call it the blues?

Chrous

Now I'm down and out, and times are bad
It seems to me that the worlds gone mad
I'm here all alone wondering what to do?
Maybe thats the reason that they call it the blues?

Chrous

I hope to goodness she comes back
To get me out of here, and back on track
But for now there's no good news
Maybe thats the reason that they call it the blues?

Dark Hair, Brown Eyes

Written By: Peter C. Budd

Bossa Nova

Dark Hair, Brown Eye’s, She walks like a summer breeze
Love of life, lovely as a mid-summers eve
Dark Hair, Brown Eye’s, She talks like she’s sincere
I wonder if she knows that I’m here?

She’s too far away to make her mine
So I lock her away in memories that will age like wine
Somewhere, someplace it’s all the same it seems
I’m not the only one who lives in dreams

Dark Hair, Brown Eye’s, why don’t you notice me?
You’re the only reason I live and breath
Dark Hair, Brown Eye’s, She walks like a summer breeze
Love of life, lovely as a mid summers eve

I look at her and say, She’s fine, but not mine
But that’s the way it’ll be till the end of time
Someday I may, find a way to be
Together with the one that I see

Dark Hair, Brown Eye’s, She walks like a summer breeze
Love of life, lovely as a mid-summers eve
Dark Hair, Brown Eye’s, She talks like she’s sincere
I wonder if she knows that I’m here?
