Blue Luster

Blue Luster

BandRockMetal

A heavy rock band that believes in putting on the most entertaining show as well as making great, catchy, rock tunes.

Biography

Blue Luster is the perfect blend of high-energy rock and fist pounding metal.

Based out of Indianapolis, Indiana, Blue Luster's music captures the ferocity of Iron Maiden, the catchiness of KISS, the riffage of Van Halen, and the melody of Led Zeppelin. On top of this, Blue Luster has a sound all their own that acts as a breath of fresh air in the seemingly stagnant current rock scene.

Blue Luster's largely guitarcentric sound is credited solely to the lethal combination of lead singer John David Brake and lead guitarist Brandon Moss Patrick O’Connor (who just happens to be a mortician). The combination of Pat's hard-pounding riffs interwoven with Brandon's intricate melodies and licks makes for songs that are driving, sexy, and extremely likeable. Carrying the rhythm on their shoulders are Jake McGuire on bass guitar and James Yarnelle on drums. Lyrically, the songs deal with an assortment of topics ranging from exorcism, loss, and the resurgence of rock and roll.

Blue Luster has very recently released their debut self-titled album. Recorded in the summer of 2008 at Azmyth Studios in Indianapolis, the album is a full-throttle, face- melting rock experience. Engineer and producer Ryan Adkins captured the passion and attitude of a live Blue Luster show to enjoy time and time again. The album has enjoyed high sells online and at shows, as more and more people are finding out about Blue Luster.

When you come to see Blue Luster, it’s not just a show…it’s an event. Playing a gig is more than just playing music in front of a crowd, it’s ENTERTAINING a crowd, and Blue Luster knows this all too well. Rock music is making a comeback and Blue Luster intends to be on the forefront of the revival!
