“Blue Mafia is setting a new standard in modern day Bluegrass music. Their sounds, styles and tones represent all that is new, vibrant and exciting in bluegrass music today. The arrangements are very well crafted, the vocals are passionate and real, bringing out the feel of the song, making it shine and very resonant with today's generation."
Serge Bernard
Bluegrass Island, 95.1FM CFCY Charlottetown, PEI Canada

New to the bluegrass scene as a unit, Blue Mafia has been in the business for years. Their sound is easily recognized, yet seldom imitated. Tight harmony vocals, and strong lead playing on each instrument sets them apart from many other groups.
"We're a good mix of everyone who has influenced us, from my father Dave Denman, to Union Station, and even classic jazz artists. Our members have such a wide array of musical taste, and we do our best to incorporate that into the best bluegrass music we can play." - Dara Wray

Tony Wray has played with artists such as John Cowan, Tim O'Brien, Scott Vestal, Dave Denman, Tina Adair, Mark Newton, and Mike Snider (just to name a few!)
He's been playing music since a child, and can play just about anything with strings. We're so happy to have him playing lead guitar and singing with us!

Kent Todd has played with Gary Brewer, Michael Cleveland, Troubled Waters, and the Not Too Bad Bluegrass Band. He's an awesome singer and fiddle player, and we're very excited he's joined Blue Mafia!

Cody Looper has played with Next Generation, Southern Roots, the Briarhoppers, New Harmony, and Bluetown. He is one of the finest young banjo players you'll ever hear!

Michael Gregory has played with Killin' Tyme, Next Generation, Cumberland Gap, Briar Hoppers, James Monroe, Blue Calling, All American Bluegrass Band, Loadstone, Lifeboat Quartet, and Bluetown. He's an absolute timing monster, and his bass playing is awesome!

As for Dara Wray, this is her first band, and we are very excited to have her!
Having played a few shows here and there with her family, she is overjoyed to be included in the Blue Mafia!
