Blue Mountain Bustdown

Blue Mountain Bustdown, formerly Strange Brew, was founded upon the intention of funky jams, fresh grooves, and good times. Founded in Boston, MA by good friends Steve Malinowski, Josh Carter, Jonathan Ellington, and Ben Teters, Blue Mountain Bustdown has been spreading their infectious tunes and fun vibe up and down the East Coast since May of 2009. That summer the band got together in Asheville, NC to write and perform songs in the area and soon found themselves playing some of the best venues in the area as well as a live radio appearance on 98.1 The River.

Recently, BMBD has returned to Boston, MA where they all attend Berklee College of Music. These guys have collectively been learning from the same musicians who have played with the Allman Brothers, Maceo Parker, BB King, and Susan Tedeschi to name a few. The band has begun to branch, playing shows through out the northeast and making new fans everywhere they go. To fully understand BMBD, one must see one of their live shows. In December 2009, BMBD saw their first action in the studio recording their debut album Paper War at Dryden Street Studios in Asheville, NC. Their first full length album, Paper War displays the many facets of BMBD's diverse sound, ranging from politically charged anthems to raging funky jams and everything in between. Most importantly, Paper War captures the raw Blue Mountain Bustdown sound and energy that they bring to every live show the band plays. BMBD is comin to your town to bust it down soon!
