"Whachew Talkin' About?"

Stereotypo, the debut LP from Bluepages, is a delicious mix of upbeat pop rock with subtle tastes of bluesy guitar, funky grooves and inspired folk lyrics. A delight to listen to from beginning to end, Stereotypo is a gluttonous feast for the ears and lost lasting sustenance for the mind. - Hoboken Reporting

Bio

The rock and roll of Bluepages is pure pop textured with juicy punk and a heavy groove. It's a delicate mix of hooks with just a little zest, a little spice. You want to dance or sing along but sometimes you just cannot help but jump around. Other times relax while the bass and guitar just lull you into a dream. The lyrics tell a tale of love, loss, and the absurd and struggles with the post-modern dilemma of how to live and be happy in an age of iPods, orange alerts, and reality overload.

The band formed in early 2003 by drummer James Beck and guitarist Jim Yanks. Singer Chris Zobler joined soon thereafter and with the addition of bassist Tim Altman in the spring of 2004 they were complete. Bluepages spent 2004 rehearsing, recording, and gigging. Stereotypo, the debut LP released in April 2005, is a delicious mix of upbeat pop rock with subtle tastes of bluesy guitar, funky grooves and inspired folksy lyrics. A delight to listen to from beginning to end, Stereotypo is a gluttonous feast for the ears and lost lasting sustenance for the mind.

Bluepages are currently working on their second LP; with loads of talent, creativity, enthusiasm and pop appeal, Bluepages are taking off. So sit down, relax, throw on the CD and enjoy the ride.
