Terry and I have been singing and playing acoustic guitar together for the last couple of years. We met when we worked in BT. I had been singing and writing my own songs for several years prior to meeting Terry. We share a love of fine acoustic music and singer song writers like Paul Simon, James Taylor, Bob Dylan Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen. Terry's main influence has been the music of the Beatles, mine Leonard Cohen. The combination of these two diverse musical journeys is something that makes us and our music unique.Our soft acoustic guitar sound is suited to fine ballads that tell stories of people and incidents. My own songs reflect this style of song writing. Recently I was invited to play on my own in Coyles music bar in Bangor. The set was well received and they have invited me to play again. This has made me more determined to play on a regular basis with Terry, as I believe the two of us together make a great sound. For me our story is just beginning and as mature guys, we realise that as the years progress, oportunities become more scarce. The thought of the possibly playing in Austin, Texas, where Leonard Cohen once played outdoors, is quite an amazing thought.
