Bio

The Blue River Travelers have evolved over the last 6 years into a group steeped in old time tradition and values. Along with their love for musical entertainment, members have and extensive public service background including Paramedic/Fire Fighter/ Emergency Manager, Distinguished Military Careers, Social Worker, Attorney, and Office Manager.

Based in Clay County, Florida, The Blue River Travelers have maintained a vigilant presence and partnership with Clay County Council on Aging for over 6 years. From their volunteer status, the group performs weekly for the Wiegle Senior Citizens Center in Middleburg, Florida. Along with local seasonal events where the group performs an extensive list of Christmas carols, the group is honored to have performed the last 3 consecutive years for the Clay County Fair.

When not performing as the Blue River Travelers; Jeff Reynolds, Deborah Reynolds, Faye Tarin, along with distinguished local Bluegrass artist Jacob Nowland entertain as the band Whisper Creek. Whisper Creek has become a favorite in many of the yearly Pre 1840’s Living History Events found throughout the southeast. Engagements include The Alafia River Rendezvous of Florida, Pre 1840’s Southeastern Conference and The White Water Conference of Alabama and many others.

When Faye and Jeff are not busy with the two groups they maintain part-time positions as music instructors for the prestigious Wehner’s School of the Arts in Orange Park, Florida. They both agree, “Everyone has to start somewhere and teaching is an important part of those beginnings. Through instructing others, we are able to share with the world our pride, enthusiasm, and the genuine love we have for music. ”
