Bio
Blues For Dharma is a high energy band with roots in the great rock and roll of the late sixties and seventies. In this tradition, no two shows are the same. Like their predecessors, an atmosphere of creativity is established between the band and their audience, making the show a communal experience.
The quartet formed in 2001 out of the friendship of two of its members. Drummer Mike Swain and guitarist Casey Apgar met while playing in The Stone Dog, a local band in the nineties. Mike brought old high school friend Neil Mathews along to play bass and finish off the rhythm section. The addition of the ever crazy Steve Scott to play piano and organ completed the lineup.
These four musicians have the same die young, rock and roll attitude that mirrors the likes of Zeppelin, Morrison, and Cash. Their extensive collection of originals and covers are sure to please audiences.
