(translated from the dutch article)

We were surprised by BlueShaker who opened the festival. Their first time with the new drummer Marcel Landman, well known from the Flamin' Stars, just back from abroad. He played in Paris for three years and now he's back and joined BlueShaker.
The enthousiastic audiance jumped and clapped while BlueShaker performed their own songs and the covers from i.e. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix. - Stentor (newspaper)

Finaly last Wednesday I was able to see the band BlueShaker perform at Cees'Place in Utrecht. They had a really good performance. The songs they performed were amongst others Rock Me Baby, Tush and Help Me.
Evry body was enthousiastic of their performance and no wonder they were elected to perform at the up coming Blues Route 2008 in Utrecht.

BlueShaker plays the Texas style blues ( hard and raw). The songs they perform have a twist of BlueShaker so, although they are most covers, they try to make it a new song giving it their own sound. I was to the utmost suprised about the way they performed Help Me. The way they did the build up of the song was perfect.

... then BlueShaker appeared on stage. That was a great surprise! They have a rocksolid rythm section ,a realy fine (young) singer who visibly enjoys what he's doing and, last but not least, really a fantastic guitar player. The setlist was good and dynamic and everybody got to show his talent via solo's. I find this band a great must see to anybody who haven't seen or heard them perform. They play really well together, everyone of them is a very good musician and they make sure of a great performance. I most definately would like to see this band again. - www.bluesmaster.nl

Bio

The dutch band BlueShaker plays "The real thing" or that's how the bandmembers would like to name their style. Since 1998 BlueShaker rocked on several dutch festivals and in the well known bars. They supported great artists like J.W. Roy, Rosa King, Cuby and the Blizzards, Tony Spinner (Toto) and Ten Years After.

BlueShaker plays songs from the greatest blueslegends like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher en Robin Trower and ofcourse many old blues-traditionals. These sounds were of influence for their own material.
