Bluestain

BLUESTAIN is a young alternative rock band with heavy influences from folk. Guitars, keyboards and a strong rhythm section help to craft melodies and stories which are reminiscent of North American Folk, but also bring to mind the electric colors of British Rock. All these influences are present in “MAYBE A MOVIE”, Bluestain’s first EP, which sounds bittersweet, nostalgic and ironic at equal parts.

Formed in 2011, with an average age of 24 as of September 2015, Bluestain has had an intense national trajectory. They have played in some of the most important venues of Madrid, including Gruta77, Sirocco, BarCo and La Riviera (opening for MIKA in 2013).

Likewise, they've won many important national contests (including the PlayOut Festival, Vodafone YU Music Talent 2013 Zona Centro, and Festimad Taste 2015 Premio Comunidad de Madrid) and have been selected as finalists in many others (BDECODER 2012, Hard Rock Rising 2014 Madrid and Villa de Bilbao 27).

“MAYBE A MOVIE” is Bluestain’s first studio work. Recorded at Idemm Studios and produced by Fran Garcia Rivera, is to be presented on November 4 at Moby Dick Club, in Madrid. It’s already available on Spotify and iTunes.
