Bluestone Moon

Bluestone Moon tastefully combines the art of soul, funk, and blues with modern pop. Hailing from the excellent music and arts community of the Twin Cities, Bluestone Moon comments on the guts of life, what's in our minds, and what's in our souls. This band emerged out of a reformation of the Matt Johnson Band (www.myspace.com/mattjohnsonband) and formed its own unique soulful sound (hence the new name). With roots in gospel, blues, soul, and funk, this music "just comes out of you." Irmiter, vocalist Matt Johnson and drummer Jeremy Anderson were recently joined by guitarist Stan Dotseth and bassist Ryan Butler. As of late the band has made appearances at venues such as the Fine Line, the Cabooze, Bunkers, and First Ave. Look for the album release in the early summer of '08. We can't say what the future holds, but we're putting our talent together for now, making the best music we can. We know it helps to keep us going along the way and we hope it might do the same for you too.
