The BlueStreet Jazz Voices was formed in 2002 by a group of experienced musicians who shared a common passion for vocal jazz and who wanted to remedy the lack of a strong adult vocal jazz ensemble in the Puget Sound area.
The group’s mission is to increase appreciation, enjoyment and accessibility of jazz as an art form through performance and education, and to support, cultivate and encourage up-and-coming artists and future jazz enthusiasts.
The BlueStreet Jazz Voices offers its members a challenging, creative environment in which to learn and perfect their craft, as well as a performance outlet to share their talent and love of music with a wide range of audiences.
In addition to performance, BlueStreet is dedicated to outreach and education. We help bring entertainment and a greater knowledge of music to schools, senior citizens and other community groups through workshops and pro-bono appearances.
