The Backsliders released one CD, got a lot of radio play internationally (including top 10 chart placement in Belgium) and on independent radio in the States. Many glowing reviews can be found on www.yellowdogrecords.com
Additionally, the band is now recording its second release, with the working title of Fresh Spiked Punch.

The Bluff City Backsliders are a revival of the cross sections of American music. They mix New Orleans vamp with Memphis jug band, Western Swing with country blues, and gospel fervor with bluegrass.
The group consists of many of Memphis' top players who simply have a profound joy for this music.
Fusing these styles together creates a potent, lively sound--the same sparks created rock'n'roll.
Still, the band cannot outrun its Memphis lineage or the shadows cast by this musical mecca.
The band has made many TV, radio, internet radio appearances and have played live radio shows, blues and folk festivals, and several artist showcases. The Backsliders were featured in GQ London, among other fine publications.
