Bio

Blunt Head Trauma (BHT) is an intimate local band from Morganton, North Carolina. Blunt Head Trauma has been jamming together for three years. They are a favorite among locals and visitors alike for their ability to draw crowds with their high energy funk fusion reggae sound. Based on listener votes, Blunt Head Trauma was voted one of the Top 20 Regional Releases for 2006 on 88.7 FM (WNCW) with their hit songs “Tsunami” and “Coconuts & Rum”. They have been interviewed on Reggae Splash Live Recording on 88.3 FM (WGWG) and 88.7 FM Studio B recording “Local Color”. BHT played at Barley's in Spindale, Kodiak in Rutherfordton and both Parkside & Legends in Morganton. They have played numerous festivals including Tater Festival, Historic Morganton Festival, Mayfest & Fall Friends Festival at South Mountain and are looking forward to playing even more this year.

The lead guitarist and vocalist Tim Robinson was nominated songwriter of the year at The 2006 Flat Rock Music Festival. Tim, the youngest of the group, heads up the band and keeps the music flowing. Tim has played both the acoustic and electric guitar for 14 years. He previously spent most of his time as a singer/songwriter performing solo. BHT is Tim’s newest creation which expresses his insatiable appetite and appreciation for musical influences from every genre.
