This Winnipeg group was included on the popular Power 97 Class of 2003 compilation that sold out in every A&B Sound store that carried it. Word From The Wise is an amazingly powerful and gritty yet melodic rock number that demands attention. This first single from the forthcoming Crowded Alone album is drawing comparisons to Jane's Addiction, and rightfully so. The feel-good song is smart, simple and catchy as hell. Rock programmers would be Wise to get get on this fabulous Cancon track as soon as possible. - .

BLUSH's music is full of contradiction, not unlike the title of their debut album "CROWDED ALONE".
Drawing inspiration from some of the world's finest writers of pop and rock, the band successfully managed to create a sound that is truly unique. A cocktail blend of Zeppelin, King’s-X, Peter Gabriel and other influences make each song a journey unto itself. From the beautiful melodies of “Trip Your On”, to the screaming war sirens of “Numb”, the songs diversity are credible in emotion, melody and thought content. The tongue in cheek wit of “Things Best Left Unsaid” tempers the biting social commentary of (their first single) “Word From The Wise”, only to land on the cold logic of “Basic Physics”.
After winning Power 97's Class of 2003, BLUSH headed into the studio with Juno-award winning producer Brandon Friesen, and found themselves on the receiving end of some strong local buzz which, solidified by the Power 97 endorsement, quickly spread. Friesen's renowned production skills fit in perfectly with the band's rich rock'n'roll soundscapes, tapping into the depth and emotion each song.
BLUSH retained the services of Bobby Gale of Plug Canada and Howard Rosen Promotion (CA, NY) to promote the first single "Word From The Wise" to a North American audience. The reception was very encouraging, as it was added to no less than 130 Canadian and US radio stations, charting on several. (#1 in St. Louis!)
BLUSH recently signed a worldwide licensing deal with Rammit/Sextant and soon will be touring extensively in support of the release of their debut album, “Crowded Alone”.
