Meet the science shtick with a passion for music. Charlene Mwamjeni formally trained in the engineering field, is a self-taught singer / songwriter / guitarist based in Nairobi, Kenya. Charlene goes by the pseudo name "BlvckMoon" and has been actively doing music for three years, within which she released her debut EP “Hertz” in October 2018.
BlvckMoon considers her music Indie / Contemporary Soul. The themes prevalent in her music are love, and the motions that result from it; the tenderness, the warmth, the pain. Being very cathartic, they are linked in one way or another to events that have occurred in her life. She also uses her music to draw empowerment towards spiritual enlightenment, and exploration of awareness.
BlvckMoon often uses astrology to analogize the behavioral characteristics of celestial bodies to human ones. “This shows how connected we are to the universe, to the multiverse,” she said.
BlvckMoon is largely engaged in live shows, and has performed at various events in Nairobi.
