Bio

The B-Movie Fanclub is a Kingston, Ontario based band that plays punk rock music that is inspired by multiple genres and styles. Some of these are classic punk like The Ramones, Iggy and The Stooges, and The Misfits. Styles like Motown and 1960’s pop bands. Rockabilly and Psychobilly acts like The Cramps, and The Creepshow. The band is made up of Phil Yendt on the drums, Al McLellan on the bass, and Adam Kane on guitar and vocals. The band was formed in the spring of 2011 when Adam Kane put an ad up on www.Kijiji.com looking to start a band. Soon after he met Phil Yendt and the two started jamming. The first song the band wrote was Night at the Movies inspired by old films like Creature from the Black Lagoon and Attack of the 50 Foot Woman. Inspired by classic B-Films the band decided to name the outfit The B-Movie Fan-Club. Al McLellan joined the band in October of 2011 when Adam Kane was working at Block Buster Video. The two old friends having been separated by more than a decade was like old times when Al joined the band. Kane and McLellan had once played in a band called Angeldust together in high school. The B-Movie Fanclub was now complete. The group has recently played their first show at The Mansion in Kingston, Ontario with groups Single Mothers and Carvings. The group is planning on playing some more live shows in the summer of 2012. The group is working on a full length album which will be released in 2013.
