A Short Story
"I grew up in Miami, FL, and the only kinds of music my friends and I listened to were top 40, R&B, dance and hiphop. But when I was 17 years old, I met a guy who loved country music. He used to make me listen to it whenever I was in his car, and at the time, it drove me insane. I couldn't stand it! Still, he was cute enough for me to sit there and pretend that I was havin' a good time. It's so funny how the universe places people in our lives... Because once I started to really listen to what those songs were saying, I fell head over heels, in love, with the stories they told. From that point on, all I wanted to do with my life was tell stories like those. To this day, I am grateful to the cute country boy who made me listen. Honestly, I have a difficult time believing there was ever a time that I didn't LOVE country music." -Bo Riley
