Bio

Cazrielle (aka Carly Woods) is a crazy lady. Well, sorta. Hailing from the fertile land of South-esque Queensland (or thereabouts); she’s a true hippie at heart with a brain that not only frequently thrusts her towards the clouds, but spawns some of the most unique, quirky and downright adorable lyrics that this here planet has ever heard.

Halo (aka Hayley Thorncraft) is slightly less crazy. More your feet-firmly-on-the-ground sorta lass, this Central Custodian is blessed not only with a knack for lassoing flying hippies from the sky, but creating harmonies that swish, swirl and swoon.

How They Met:

The year was 2009. Having both relocated to Sydney from their respective faraway towns the ladies were hankering for a musical connection. Frustrated and bored, Halo gave birth to an open mic night for ladies in the hopes of finding local like-minded musos (read: girls). Cazrielle was, of course, the very first to register to perform. Later bonded by their mutual distaste for, well, someone, they discovered a musical chemistry that could not be beat.

Enter: Bo Banta.

Okay well not immediately… for the first couple weeks they were Haze in the Cloudtower. Then an explosion in Cazrielle’s brain en route to a gig happened and for a few months they were You & Me in the Kitchen Tree. But then, after that, they became Bo Banta.

After spending 2010 winning over the hearts of a loyal fan base in Sydney, Bo Banta are currently amidst plans to wander the land of Aus, and thanks to a leg up from an anonymous (read: unbelievably brilliant) fan, the ladies are currently in the studio recording their debut EP: “Happy Stabby” – set for release this April.
