Bio

You know his face. He’s the scene stealing kid from “Fred Claus,” “House of Payne” and “That’s So Raven.” You may not know the name though…yet.

Expect that to change very soon.

Bobb’e J Thompson is no stranger to the big screen. At 17, Bobb’e’s been a professional actor more than half of his life. He’s shared screen time with heavy hitters like Will Ferrell, Whoopi Goldberg, Tracy Morgan, Vince Vaughn, and Eddie Murphy. He’s also made appearances in popular TV shows like “30 Rock” and “The Office,” Now with more than 35 film and TV roles under his belt Bobb’e J is poised to put his stamp on the music industry. His debut album, Fade to Rap, introduces the world to his musical side.

“I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the greatest actors in the world. I’m gonna continue to do that but I’m going to incorporate my passion. I love acting, but rapping is my passion.”

Musical artist is not a new role for Bobb’e. He’s been attacking mics since he was a 5-year-old, performing Lil Bow Wow’s “Where My Dogs At?” on “Showtime at the Apollo.” His sound has definitely evolved since those days, but still cites Lil Bow Wow among his musical influences as well as T.I., Lil Wayne, J Stylin, 2Pac, and Biggie, His style is uniquely his own, however. With Fade to Rap, the unassuming young man morphs into a ferocious MC. “I’m quiet, but rap is where I transform,” Bobb’e says.

Bobb’e’s musical credits also include playing Big Boi’s younger self in the Outkast musical “Idlewild", the very funny YouTube video sensation "Bro Mitzvah" , in addition to recording his own Debut Album he is also in the studio recording tracks for the upcoming Nick Canon movie School Dance's soundtrack with the dynamic rap group The Rangers.
