Punk Masterman Bobby Hollar has again uncorked the genie’s bottle with Debt Crisis. “With the USA in turmoil, it’s time to return to what’s real, raw and rockable hey” says Hollar. In his latest rants he explores love, disillusionment, sex, loss and more all fueled by pure c. ’77 punk drive.

Biography

INSIDE THE MUSIC

Dirty Tricks Yeah, you know the kind. The kind your classmates play, your teachers, your co-workers, your bosses, your friends, your family. They all play them dont they? Im so sick of it!

Oddly enough, Garage Tonite is a punk love song that sprung from an arpeggio lesson at a time that my heart was lit on fire. And it was a Subaru in case anyone is wondering.
Storm of love was written in a bathroom at 3AM following a tremendous electrical storm and an incredible night of

Debt Crisis, a song of the times. How did we get here? If I had a dime for every time I have heard someone in charge say that hey! I wont cover all the blogisphere commentaries here, Ill leave that to you. All Ill say is somethings rotten and it aint in Denmark neither!

Late 70s and it was off to the grimy Bowery in Richies van. Age of the squeegee men, Jitterbug Jones and Lazy Holly - remember boys and girls? Never forget the first time I saw the Ramones. Amazing. Montys Boys is my tribute to one of the bands that had the greatest influence on my writing style. Still out there Rope Burns?

What can I say about Sam except that I have known her all her life. Rip Cord is a punk barn dance kind of song I wrote for her Sweet 16th. Shes still going strong as ever so look out!

Talk Talk is a song about helping someone through a malicious disease. Could be cancer, could be COPD or any number of others. Its not fun.

Sunshine Lost is dedicated to the late Debbie Burgess BURGE, who I knew very well.

DEBT CRISIS (I Know)

Written By: Bobby Hollar

“Debt Crisis (I Know)”

I used to have a family, But I don’t anymore
I used to have a mom and dad, But they left by the back door
I used to have two sisters, But they didn’t give a twig!
I used to know my brother, But he didn’t know me
And so what, so what
I aint alone in this misery (misery)
Plenty ya’s out there just like me
I aint along in this self pity
Plenty ya’s out there just like me
And I know, and I know
I know, and I Know

I used to have a job, But I don’t anymore
They had to make more profit, So they sent it off shore
I used to have two bosses, And they were all for me!
I used to get a paycheck, But now there none to see
And so what, so what
All the banks have been robbed (been robbed)
All the corporations raided
All the factories closed (they’re closed)
This society is over rated

I used to have an auto, But I don’t anymore
I used to like to drive it, Cause it took me to the mall
I used to have a driveway, Where I could polish it!
But Repo came and took it, And sold the stuff I left in it
And so what, so what
I aint alone in this misery (misery)
Plenty ya’s out there just like me
I aint along in this self pity
Plenty ya’s out there just like me
And I know, and I know
I know, and I Know

DIRTY TRICKS

Written By: Bobby Hollar

“Dirty Tricks”

Life is full of dirty little tricks
Just when you think you got it licked
Along comes another dirty trick
To knock you right back, right back in the pit
And you’re askin’ why

Life is full of dirty little tricks
Sun comes out shines and then it quits
Cause along came another dirty trick
To turn you right round, make you feel like shit
And you’re askin’ why

Oh I’m so sick of those dirty little tricks
Oh I’m so sick of those dirty little tricks
Oh I’m so sick of those dirty, dirty little tricks

Life is full of dirty little tricks
You’re never sure when the next ones gonna hit
Like a time bomb comin’ up on its last tick
To knock you down and leave you blown to bits
And you’re askin’ why
Just don’t ask me why!

Oh I’m so sick of those dirty little tricks
Oh I’m so sick of those dirty little tricks
Yeah I’m so sick of those dirty, filthy little tricks

Yeah I’m so sick of those dirty little tricks
Yeah I’m so sick of those dirty little tricks
Yeah I’m so sick of those dirty, filthy little tricks

Dirty tricks! Dirty tricks!

GARAGE TONITE

Written By: Bobby Hollar

“Garage Tonight”

Her car is in my garage tonight
My love is at my door again
Her car is in my garage tonight
Her heart is in my hands

Am I trickin’ myself into loving her?
It feels so right how can I be sure?
Chasin’ after something that’s been missing me
Then I hold her closely like it’s meant to be

Her car is in my garage tonight
My love is at my door again
Her car is in my garage tonight
Her heart is in my hands

Is she trickin’ herself into loving me?
She’s been so damaged and so insecure
Thinkin’ and doubtin’ can I stand for more?
Can she trust me, am I immature?

Her car is in my garage tonight, Her soul lies in my bed

Her car is in my garage tonight
My love is through my door
Her car is in my garage tonight
Her heart is in my hands

We’re fightin’ our demons so fearlessly
Been blinded by the past for an eternity
No more pain or chances blown
Gonna open that door on the super unknown

Then her car will stay in my garage at night
Her hand will be in my hand

STORM OF LOVE

Written By: Bobby Hollar

“Storm of Love”

Her breath comes on me and her hair hangs wild
When she touch me I get chills inside
My brow is sweatin’ and the wind is quite
Temperatures risin’ and the climates right
For a Storm of Love, Storm of Love

Her clouds are heavy weighted with desire
Movin’ on up me just like skiddin’ tires
Room shakes with thunder, lit with lightnin’s fire
I’d best take shelter in her burnin’ sky
It’s a Storm of Love, Storm of Love

This storm is raging through the dead of night
I’m just ‘bout drownin’ in her tempests bite
Her rain tastes sweet and my rivers high
I might not make it to the other side
Through her Storm of Love, Storm of Love

The dawn is breakin’ now and I can see
Her storm has had its way, took a toll on me
I never been that close to a natures child
She rolled across me I’m left high and dry
From her Storm of Love, Storm of Love
I want her Storm of Love, Storm of Love
