Bobby Streng Saxomble released "Live at the Firefly Club" in 2007. Multiple Tracks off the album (Ducks on Parade, Sleen, Empty Room, Funny Girl) have received airplay on WEMU from numerous DJs, from Judy Adams on 98.7FM Detroit, as well as stations in Cleveland and Dayon, Ohio.

Ann Arbor’s Bobby Streng is an active saxophonist, composer, and arranger of all genres of music. With his group, the Saxomble, Bobby fuses his backgrounds in classical, funk, jazz, and rock into an exciting live experience fueled by the sound and improvisation of a powerful five man saxophone front. While the ensemble that he has assembled is tight and well rehearsed, it is the uniqueness of each player’s voice that will impress audiences most.

The Saxomble now boasts nine talented and experienced members: (Bobby Streng, Mark Kieme, Mike Hiemstra, Dan Puccio, and James Hughs – saxophones; Dale Grisa – keyboards; Matt Henninger – bass; Jonathan Ovalle – drums; Olman Piedra – Percussion). The debut album, “Live at the Firefly”, was released in February of 2007.

With their unique sound, scores of original music, and an ultra-high energy live show, the Bobby Streng Saxomble breathes new life into the world of instrumental music.
