Bob Crain is a singer/songwriter/guitarist that was born in California, raised in Hawaii and is currently living in Australia. His musical roots date back to the halcyon days of California Folk Rock, his songs cover all aspects of humanity; from politics, to environmental issues, social consciousness and anything in between.
Bob’s latest release Humanology 101 was released to incredible reviews in the US. His lead single T.V. Rockstars is self-explanatory. Just because you are on one of these singing competition shows on TV does not mean that you are going to sell CD’s or be a “Rock Idol”. What makes a true artist are the fans and listeners of the music. T.V. Rockstars is a mid-tempo tune with a great melody a smooth delivery and of course, the message that it delivers is one that is thought provoking. It represents the general flow of the songs on this CD, all delivering a message, if only we would stop and listen. This gives audiences the option to do just that.

Bob Crain continues to work as a solo artist as well as with his trio The Likely Suspects around Melbourne and Australia. He is looking forward to performing at festivals and a venture into the United Sates with a Summer/Fall tour 2013.

The Single from HUMANOLOGY 101 - T.V. ROCKSTARS was released by the artist's representatives in the US and Europe and is receiving significant air play across College and Internet Radio both in the US and Europe.

Bob was born and raised in the cradle of the Hippie Movement, in the high times of the Sixties. Peace, Love, Self Expression, Revolution, Freedom...and music filled the air waves. It was in Hawaii as a young adult, where he formed views and took up the lessons of life, molded by the people, times, events, waves and winds of the Pacific Ocean.
Influenced by the greats of song writing such as Neil Young, Jackson Browne, Bob Dylan, Randy Newman, Fred Eaglesmith, and so many more, Bobs original songs are born in the coffee shops of the 60s, raised on Rock n Roll, and tempered by a lifetime in the Pacific. Bobs lyrics breathe and articulate a perspective on life, history, attitudes, society, today's issues, consciousness and fun. The insightful lyrics are then fused with his Folk/ Rock based music style and tinged with a unique blend of country, rock, soul, and the blues.
As a soloist Bob is at ease with audiences from 16 to 60+ painting pictures and tingling the brain with song. It's about entertaining, always delivering something new, something to think about, with a polished and professional performance you can sit back and enjoy. This Folk Rock Postman delivers the message and leaves 'em smiling.
