Crying in my Sleep by the artistic Bob Evans is a pleasant collection of classic rock collaborations. With its heavy vocal reverb/chorus effects and bluesy arrangements, this CD successfully conveys the unmistakable trademarks of the 80s rock era. Hailing crossover appeal into the pop genre, these songs display amazing musicianship. Collettii stands out as the track with the most compelling, skillful instrumentation. Groovy electric guitar solos overdubbed with light, Latin percussion gives this song a pacifying effect. The more fast-paced mood of Who Goes There highlights Evans gift for creating songs filled with infectious grooves. Moreover, mature lyrics and clever analogies depicting life and love heavily appeal to the thinking-person. Vocally, Bob Evans achieves an oldies vibe, while maintaining a vibrant and fun-filled atmosphere! Furthermore, the production of Crying in my Sleep appropriately takes these sounds back into the classic rock era, making this the real deal! Followers of The Beach Boys or even The Doors will appreciate the graceful tunes of Crying in my Sleep.
