Biography

Bob Grubel is a singer/songwriter who has recorded 9 cd's of his music.

His latest CD, Dance When Your Soul Brings You Near, was released in late 2006. Before that recording Bob released a new age instrumental CD, "Rivers From The Sun" in 2005, with intricate and beautiful melodies performed on piano, keyboards, Lakota flute, recorder and harmonica, all played by Bob (with one exception a song performed by Grace Note his trio) Recently this cd was used for a 60 minute DVD accompanying the book "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Massage ", published by Penguin Group.

Bob's main instrument is the piano which he has played since his youth. His funky/smooth, spontaneous style has a distinctive character that has emerged over the years as he has grown as a player/writer. Bob often plays lengthy spontaneous selections and has "channeled" music for others during healing ceremonies, both vocal and instrumental.

Love is Like A Mirror

Written By: bob grubel

Love is Like a Mirror

Well i can't stop thinking about you baby and we ain't even made love yet

Well i can't stop thinking about you baby, i don't want to forget

Everywhere i go, everything i see, i keep thinking your the one for me

I know it's kind of silly now to feel in such a way

I might as well risk it cause it's happening anyway

Keep on telling me what you need to say, i want to hear your heart speaking every day

Love is like a mirror baby, showin me my heart

Can't make no assumptions baby, this song is all i got

Can't know about tomorrow honey, that's the good lord's lot

When i see the moonrise over the hill, brings me back to your eyes it's such a thrill

Love is like a mirror, showin me my heart

You sit down with me oh you touch me with your thigh

I wonder if you notice when i'm ready to cry

Cry about the passion that flames and then dies, but love is something else that i'm ready to try

Love is like a mirror , showin me my heart

Something About it

Something About It Bob Grubel

Must be something about it, something about the way you talk

Something about it, something about the way you walk

Something about it, something about the look in your eyes

I'm not surprised to notice how gentle you are
When others would keep on walking
You reach for the scar and your healing

Must be something about it, something about the time of day

Something about it, something about the silver and gray

Something about it, something about the sacred way

When nothing is missing right here, and there's always enough
And when you breathe in with me
I'm blown thru the top by your healing

The world is a welcome place, she gives all we are

I've seen it in rivers flowing with sparkling stars

There's something about it

Must be something about it, something about the letting go

Something about it, something about the dancing flow

Something about it, something about the space in between

Daylight and darkest midnight, the threshold of dreams
Hold onto what is gathering
And what we bring to this healing

Must be something about it, something about the way you are

Something about it, something about the look in your eyes

Something about it, something about the way we are

What's Dear

Written By: Bob Grubel

What's Dear

We we're together before the time of rainbows ,
Before the time of stormy weather
We were a dancing where there was only colors
Where there was sound so pure the floor was light beneath our wings
And if we wanted to fly
We just opened hearts to the sky

Everything was sacred and it really didn't matter
If we were lost or found or high or low
There was such beauty, such everlasting beauty
The only thing that touched our inner eyes
And if we wanted to kiss
We just made it a wish and we sighed

So what happened here, how did we lose what's dear
bye and bye

Living in a body can be so much confusion
Can be so much illusion that we cry
Cry out for mercy , for tender loving mercy
From judgements that we made ourselves in years gone by
And if we want it to change
we accept the pain and realize

What we're doing here is loving all those fears
What we're doing here is loving all those tears
And letting them fly,fly fly
