Bio

Living in a world of mystique, Bob Ricci was rarely one to give interviews. Writing the songs that defined a generation of classic rock fans, though, answered more questions than any interview could. After penning the song "Stairway to Hea... ...Yikes, I'm sorry. I'm the manager for a multitude of artists and sometimes I get them mixed up. Is it alright if I start over? Bob's paying me a ton of money to write this and I don't want to get the wrong information out!

Background

Bob Ricci is a musical artist, with a knack for comedy, who has been performing parodies and writing creatively original music since his early teens. Bob has built a diverse and powerful fan base over the years through exciting and funny live performances with his band, as well as his “ingenious and hilarious” lyrical compositions. What makes Bob exciting and refreshing among the other musical performance/comedy shows is his dedication to the integrity of the artists’, and his own, music.

The Bob Ricci Band has recorded, promoted, and sold two record albums and is currently working on their hotly anticipated third album this winter; with requests for more national and international CD sales and new music received daily. Since the release of his last album, Not Another Christmas Album (songs included on demo), Bob has become an internet phenomenon with a video receiving over 10 million unique hits and a website with upwards of 350,000 hits per day at its peak. Bob also has a nasty habit of hitting the top charts for every musical website that hosts his music (myspace.com, isound.com, buzzplay.com, etc, etc, etc . . .).

This has garnered attention and recognition from pop culture icons including Weird Al, Howard Stern, Bowling for Soup, The Dr. Demento show, and others. Howard Stern has discussed Bob Ricci’s promising outlook with his radio fans, and Jon Bermuda Schwartz, drummer for “Weird Al” Yankovic since 1981, has said, “Excellent work on those songs … it’s well played and well recorded. What more could you ask for? Some of the tracks sound like something Al would have recorded!” Jaret Reddick, lead singer of Bowling For Soup, proclaims, “Funny stuff! I really got a kick out of this…” The Bob Ricci Band’s own musical hilarities headlined for Alcon in Chicago as he performed to over 500 fans. Bob and the usual gang of idiots (i.e. ‘the band’) will next be seen on college stages and venues as he prepares for the release of his newest CD.
